Call for Reviewers: PYN Seeking Independent Review Committee – Feb 28

On January 17, the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) released an RFP for E³ Services (https://www.pyninc.org/connected#contract). Based on the response from prospective applicants, we are seeking 100 reviewers. An independent review committee is an essential component to a fair and successful procurement process. Please consider this email a formal request seeking your participation in the 2020 Procurement Process as a reviewer. Please note that the deadline to respond is Friday, February 28.

Who can be a reviewer?

Anyone interested in having an impact on the outcomes of youth and young adults, who has time to give, can be a reviewer. You do not have to have experience in the youth workforce development or education fields. Experience with youth programming is helpful but not required. You do not have to be a Philadelphia resident.

If you or your organization is submitting a proposal for this RFP, you would likely have a conflict of interest, and may therefore disregard this request.

If you are interested but unsure whether or not you are an appropriate candidate, we encourage you to complete the short registration form to indicate your interest. There will be a virtual information session and training to complete the process, and all reviewers will receive a rubric.

If you served as a reviewer of Summer RFP applications earlier this year, thank you! Your support as a reviewer would be welcome again for E³ services applications. If you were unable to serve as a reviewer of Summer RFP applications, please consider lending your support now.

What is the commitment?

We understand your time is limited and we have created a process that is efficient and are prepared to support your efforts in any way possible. We are asking each reviewer for roughly 10 hours of volunteer time over a 3-week period in March 2020. If you cannot commit that much time but would still like to participate, we encourage you to register anyway, but also email PYNRFP@pyninc.org with your limitations.
