Learn about Tech Impact’s ITWorks Program, Nov. 21

Interested in the Tech field but don’t have a college degree? No problem, this training is for you.

This month for our Career Workshop join us for an Information Session with Tech Impact to learn about their ITWorks program. The program helps prepare young adults for entry-level IT careers without the need for a college degree. Average starting salary of graduates is 35k. The workshop will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at 3509 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Requirements:

• 18-26 years old,
• A high school graduate (or equivalent),
• Without a Bachelor’s degree,
• Interested in technology,
• Able to commit to classes from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday for 16 weeks.

With over 500 graduates, ITWorks is a proven program training young people in Philadelphia, PA; Wilmington, DE; and Las Vegas, NV for entry-level IT careers. During the FREE 16-week program, students spent the first 11 weeks in the classroom learning about PC hardware, troubleshooting, IT networking, security, and much more to prepare for the CompTIA A+ certification. Then, students gain real-life, hands-on experience during a five-week internship at a local corporation or nonprofit. The program is offered twice a year – Spring and Fall – and is bolstered by the support of over 100 volunteers in each location.
