New Report: Veterans Without Degrees

Strada is pleased to share the second in their series of reports in partnership with Gallup and Lumina Foundation, Veterans Without Degrees. This report draws on the perspectives of U.S. veterans to understand the educational attainment of veterans without degrees, the benefits their credentials bring them, and their attitudes toward pursuing additional education. The first report, Certified Value, explored the educational and work experiences of adults without degrees and how we might provide greater economic mobility for them and their families.
Through our Strada-Gallup Education Consumer Survey we spoke to over 30,000 U.S. Veterans and found:
- Veterans disproportionately hold non-degree certificates and certifications.
- Certificates and certifications boost employability and earnings (an average of $10,000 above median income) for veterans without degrees.
- Veterans without degrees see less need for additional education than non-veterans without degrees.
