Nominations for the 2020 Leadership Prize are now open!

Juvenile Law Center’s Leadership Prize recognizes outstanding individuals who are fighting for the rights and well-being of youth in the child welfare and justice systems. Recipients are leading lights whose work has substantially improved the lives of youth or whose inspirational careers are beacons for future generations.

• Who Should I Nominate?

Nominees can work in any field—law, government, the arts, media, entertainment, sports, business, or any other sector. Their work should have already achieved lasting change either through a lifetime of work on behalf of youth, a landmark contribution to the field of children’s rights, or exceptional efforts to shine a light on the most important issues affecting youth today.

Nominate a colleague or yourself by Friday, November 8, 2019.

How Do I Nominate Someone?

We’ve streamlined the nominations process so that nominating someone (or yourself) is easier and faster. Nominations will close on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:59 pm ET.

To submit a complete nomination, you will need:

• Name and contact information for the nominee
• The nominee’s bio (500 words or less)
• A statement on why you are nominating the individual (500 words or less)
• A recommendation from another individual, plus their contact information (500 words or less)
