Toolkit for Your Next Discussion on Migration & Refugees
Posted by Pulitzer Center for Education on August 13, 2019
Did questions about migration, refugees, and the border swirl around your classroom this past year? The subject has been on many of our minds and all over the news. What stories do we see, and which ones do we miss?
We’ve compiled ten under-reported stories on migration and refugees that you might have missed this year. They highlight people leaving and making homes in new countries all over the world, and for many different reasons. Designed to support you in carrying these stories into the classroom, this guide includes essential questions, vocabulary, appropriate grade levels, and related lesson plans for the stories within.
