Recent research from Education Testing Service shows that despite earning a four-year degree, a significant number of college graduates have failed to develop necessary skills in literacy and numeracy. Employers hiring workers report that a college diploma is not a guarantee of critical skills, and individuals without these skills are missing out on the higher earnings they expected.
