This session features in-depth analysis of the local community development sector and the range of actors that intersect and includes best practice approaches in a range of crucial neighborhood revitalization efforts, including engagement, organizing, neighborhood planning and real estate development.
Majeedah Rashid of Nicetown CDC will share key wisdom and insight the power of community engagement, the responsibilities of CDCs as community stewards, and the landscape of community development (NACs, RCOs, other partners).
Kimberly Allen of Wells Fargo Regional Foundation will speak to her organization’s vision for Philadelphia’s neighborhoods, tip for successful project development, and broad trends that are emerging for community development.
