Educational resources and lesson plans to instill pride and value in Philadelphia’s rich heritage
Through Global Philadelphia Association’s (GPA) World Heritage Education Program, we aim to broaden kids understanding of their and other cultures and to prepare them to be successful in a rapidly globalizing world.
You can now access low-cost and FREE educational resources on Philadelphia’s heritage to help develop students’ awareness of our city’s rich past and global significance: http://www.LearnPhillyHeritage.org.
Using our searchable database, you will discover lesson plans, workshops, and resources, covering a wide range of topics on Philadelphia’s heritage, including significant moments in our region’s African-American heritage.
During Black History Month, and throughout the year, we reflect on the monumental events and courageous individuals that have shaped our nation’s history, as well as honor inspiring African-American leaders who are making a difference today.
