Survey on Climate Change in Public Schools
Posted by University of Pennsylvania on March 12, 2019
Emma Shenton, a senior at the University of Pennsylvania and environmental studies major, is researching climate change education in middle school education for her thesis. She has created a survey for middle school teachers to fill out as part of her overall research. If you teach science or social studies to 6th, 7th, and/or 8th grade students, she would appreciate it if you could take the time to complete this brief online survey (5 minutes or less): https://upenn.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5mpJnhGwA691Q0J. Please share this survey with teachers that you know.
This study is not an evaluation of individual teachers or schools. Your anonymous answers will help Emma to understand what climate change education currently looks like in Philadelphia middle schools as a whole.
Please reach out to Emma at eshenton@sas.upenn.edu if you have additional questions. Thank you for taking the time to further the research by participating in the survey.
