Open Hearth offers matched savings program in ChesCo
Posted by Open Hearth on March 5, 2019
Open Hearth, a nonprofit serving Chester County and portions of Montgomery County, is recruiting applicants for the Lubert Individual Development Account (IDA) savings program, funded through the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
The Lubert IDA program helps working individuals save for a post-secondary education or their first home by building good financial habits. It provides a 3:1 savings match for higher education (participants must save $1,000 to receive $3,000) and a 2:1 savings match for the purchase of a first home (participants must save $2,000 to receive $4,000). All savers must participate in the program for at least six months before funds will be matched.
