Calling All Music Educators!
The School District of Philadelphia and PMAY (Philadelphia Music Alliance for Youth) are presenting a free day of professional development for music educators on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 8:30am-1:00pm at Washington High School, 10175 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia.
The keynote speaker is Nicole Robinson, creator of Cultural Connections by Design, which is a diversity and inclusion consulting company. Dr. Robinson is a music educator and has a special interest in working with urban school districts.
Following the keynote are sessions that range in topics from an introduction for students to coding and design concepts, to educating children from diverse backgrounds, to the importance of emotional health and career longevity for urban educators, to teaching students how to improvise.
