Thursday, November 29, 2018

PHMC, 1500 Market Street, Ste 1500

In 2013, The Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity took the lead in launching the City’s Shared Prosperity anti-poverty initiative, designed to alleviate poverty’s most immediate effects and provide pathways out of poverty, especially for those facing the greatest barriers.
As we approach year five of this plan, we are deep into a process to think about what comes next: what worked, what didn’t, and how we can accelerate change.
True to our core values, this planning process has reached out to Philadelphians from all backgrounds and included interviews with leaders from the public and private sectors, stakeholder surveys, and community listening sessions.
As a valued partner, we’d now like to hear from you, and to begin sharing what we’ve learned.
The session will begin with a brief interactive presentation highlighting the themes of racial equity and economic justice. You will then be asked to participate in small group discussions focusing on key strategic priorities.
Your voice is important to us, and we hope to see you there.
