World premiere of documentary on higher ed set for Napa Valley Festival
Immigrants. Parents. Working Adults. First Generation. Meet the faces of today’s higher ed students and follow the journey of five such students fighting for a second chance at opportunity. ‘Unlikely’ is a feature-length documentary that uncovers the systemic barriers to higher education success today and that details how some innovators are re-imagining it for the 21st Century. It recently debuted with two screenings at the Napa Valley Film Festival on Nov. 10-11, following by panels with the filmmakers.
Set in the cities of Akron, Atlanta, Boston and Los Angeles, five individuals failed by the higher education system fight for a second chance at opportunity.
A feature documentary from Three Frame Media filmmakers Jaye & Adam Fenderson, Unlikely investigates America’s college dropout crisis and the barriers students face in their pursuit of an education and meaningful career.
