Bridging Social Investments
Posted by Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal on October 1, 2018
Happening Wednesday, October 10th, 2PM EDT
The 21st Century has brought with it, a wave of awareness surrounding the negative externalities companies create. With this awareness, has come a boom in the “social responsibility” economy. Shoe companies that give shoes to people in need, banks that reinvest in struggling communities, clothing stores that pay to clean up water ways, these are just a few examples of how the economy is transforming to give back.
This transformation has similarly resulted in a blurring of the lines between the “for-profit” and “non-profit” sector. Similarly, investors have begun re-aligning investment to ensure a stronger social impact. This webinar brings together experts from around the world to discuss how the investment and business community is evolving to be more aligned to social impact. Attendees can expect to experience an insider’s look into how the social impact investment community is changing, what they’re looking for in the future, best practices and how businesses have begun adapting to a more social conscious market.
