Panel: Opiate use in Philadelphia
Posted by Community College of Philadelphia on June 18, 2018
The growing misuse of opioids in the Philadelphia community has caused a rise in injection-related infectious diseases. This month, CCP’s Institute for Community Engagement and Civic Leadership will host a live panel on opiate use in Philadelphia and its effects on the community and its members.
Experts from the Philadelphia Health Department and Prevention Point Philadelphia will discuss the state of the Opioid epidemic in Philadelphia, the future of safe injection sites in your neighborhood, and provide personalized overdose prevention training.
