7th Annual “Next Level Leaders” Youth Engagement Conference

If you have been paying attention to the news, you may have noticed that there is an emerging voice growing from our youth population. Teens are appearing and advocating on a national stage. In Philadelphia, the Next Level leaders conference is a youth led, adult backed initiative that identifies that challenges that Philadelphia youth encounter on a daily basis. This year’s focus areas include vital topics including: gun violence, sex trafficking the School to Prison pipeline, teen substance abuse, the consequences of unprotected sex and more.
The Department of Human Services Philadelphia Youth Leadership Council will host our 7th Annual “Next Level Leaders” Youth Engagement Conference! This special event will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2017 from 8:30am to 3:30pm at Temple Learning Center, 2450 Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19129. All youth, grades 7-12, are invited to attend. The day will include workshops, speed networking and the “Speak up -Speak out Forum where youth leaders are invited to discuss challenges and solutions. Elected officials and area professionals are invited to sit down with youth and discuss how to overcome these obstacles. In addition, there will be a Resource fair where services providers and community organizations can share their resources and programs.
