Calling all current HS seniors and/or undergraduate students!
Check out the Scholarship opportunities managed by The Philadelphia Foundation listed below. All scholarship applications are currently available on The Philadelphia Foundation website and students are able to apply for as many scholarship opportunities as they see fit. Many have spring deadlines so get started now!

The Philadelphia Foundation 2018-19 Scholarships
Alpha Leadership and Scholarship
· Open to African American males graduating from a Philadelphia area High School who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and dedication to their community.
· Three (3) $2,000 one-time scholarships will be awarded
· Deadline: March 30, 2018
Alumni Association of the School of Nursing of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Nursing School Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who are residents of the Greater Philadelphia region and seek a degree in Nursing.
· Award Amounts will range from $500 to $5,000
· Deadline: May 7, 2018
Brearley B. and Carl G. Karsch Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors graduating from Thomas A. Edison High School or Benjamin Franklin High School who show promise to succeed in their studies.
· At least two (2) one-time scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 each
· Deadline: April 2, 2018
Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association Nursing Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who are residents of the Greater Philadelphia region and seek a degree in Nursing.
· Two (2) $1,000 one-time scholarships will be awarded
· Deadline: April 30, 2018
Crouthamel Family Nursing Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who seek a degree in Nursing and have a genuine desire to help others.
· One (1) $500 one-time scholarship will be awarded
· Deadline: April 30, 2018
D. Colman Witte Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who study or plan to study art, architecture or interior design. Student must attend or plan to attend a college or university in the Philadelphia region. A minimum GPA of 2.75 and a portfolio submission is required.
· Award amounts will range from $500-$6,000 per year
· Deadline: March 19, 2018
David Concannon Boston College Memorial Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who plan to attend or currently attend Boston College.
· Award amounts are determined annually and will vary
· Deadline: March 30, 2018
Delta Iota Chapter Alumnae Scholarship
· Open to undergraduate college students attending Cheyney University and entering into their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year. A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required.
· Three (3) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to a 2nd-year, 3rd-year, and 4th-year student
· Deadline: April 9, 2018
Feinstein Fund for Philadelphia Scholars
· Open to high achieving, low income Philadelphia public high school seniors who demonstrate consistent participation and leadership. A school attendance record of 80% or better and minimum GPA of 3.25 is required.
· One (1) $10,000 scholarship will be awarded ($2,500 per year for 4 years)
· Deadline: March 26, 2018
GSK Opportunity Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who are residents of the five PA counties of Greater Philadelphia and have overcome significant adversity. Must attend or plan to attend a community college in PA or a PA state-owned or state-related university.
· Four (4) renewable scholarships will be awarded up to $5,000 per year
· Deadline: March 30, 2018
Herb It Forward Scholarship
· Open to individuals 17-25 years of age who are graduating in 2018 or have previously graduated high school, received their GED, or have been homeschooled and demonstrate a commitment to “pay it forward”. Student must be a resident of Philadelphia or the Philadelphia area counties.
· Thirty (30) renewable awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per year
· Deadline: March 1, 2018
HUSSAN Scholarship
· Open to undergraduate college students of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Countries descent which include Afghanistan Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. Student must be enrolled in a college or university in the Philadelphia region and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
· One (1) $2,500 one-time scholarship will be awarded
· Deadline: April 2, 2018
Joseph E. Coleman, Esq. and Jessie L. Coleman Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who are residents of Philadelphia. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.
· Two (2) one-time scholarships will be awarded for a combined maximum amount of $10,000. One to a student attending or planning to attend Albright College and one to a student attending an accredited college or university in the U.S.
· Deadline: March 19, 2018
Luther and Mary Ida Vandross Scholarship
· Open to undergraduate college students enrolled in 4-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU) who is entering their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.
· Five (5) $10,000 one-time scholarships will be awarded
· Deadline: April 30, 2018
Mervyn Sluizer, Jr. Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors who are residents of the Greater Philadelphia region and have been active in the Boy Scouts of American for at least 5 years. Student must be active at the time of application and have attained the rank of Eagle.
· Two (2) $1,000 one-time scholarships will be awarded
· Deadline: April 16, 2018
Richard A. Ash Scholarship
· Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who are residents of Philadelphia and actively strive to create a better world through community involvement, volunteering, etc.
· Ten to Twenty (10-20) four year scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per year will be awarded
· Deadline: April 6, 2018
