Assistant Director of Early Intervention, Archway Programs

Archway Programs in Atco, NJ is a private, non-profit human services organization serving people with special needs ranging from infants and young children through adults and senior citizens. With annual revenue of more than $20MM, Archway serves over 1,800 consumers in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties. We strive to improve the life of every individual we serve.
We are looking for a full-time Assistant Director for our Early Intervention program. This position will be responsible for the design, implementation and daily management of the EI program. The successful candidate will be a team player who will help take Archway to the next level.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
• Responsible for day to day program operations as well as design and implementation of the EI program and functioning of transdisciplinary team
• Maintain a small caseload of active clients and/or evaluation slots
• Assist with interviewing and hiring appropriately credentialed staff
• Monitor and ensure family satisfaction of program services
• Assist with monitoring budget expenditures
• Meet all file review and case observation requirements as outlined by EI policies
• Ensure cases are being allocated efficiently and in a timely manner to meet NJEIS code requirements
• Ensure accurate and timely billing of EI services in compliance with agency and NJEIS code and polices
• Responsible for compliance pursuant to current EI code/policies
• Train and monitor staff compliance with current EI criteria guidelines
• Create, maintain and enforce internal policies/procedures for effective program management
• Provide daily support to practitioners/office staff through telephone accessibility or on-site assistance including problem solving, addressing parent concerns, staffing issues, personnel policies, etc.
• Facilitate monthly departmental meetings
• Encourage and foster interagency collaboration with community resources
• Maintain active involvement with SNJREIC and serve on committees, subcommittees and task forces
• Participate in related internal and external Administrative forums, trainings and collaborative meetings
• Act as liaison with all county and state EI representatives and auditing agents
• Directly supervise all practitioners/office personnel including monitoring, performance, resolving conflicts, approving time off, managing schedules, addressing performance issues through Archway Programs Employee Discipline Policy and providing consistent positive feedback, motivation and support
• Conduct and document annual performance evaluations for staff
• Intervene with families regarding compliance issues or complaints
Other knowledge, skills and certifications required:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Graduate Degree Preferred
- Five or more years’ experience
- Meet state guidelines for profession
- One year of managerial experience in a child care program, education institution, business, or agency related to children
