New Article: Colleges should teach service

Promoting Service to College Students. On May 5 Silvio Laccetti, a professor of social science at the Stevens Institute of Technology, wrote in an opinion piece for the Philadelphia Inquirer that colleges “must return to their historic mission, rooted in liberal-arts education.”
