For professional development to be effective, it must first engage educators and elicit changes in their daily practice. Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), a college readiness system that provides training and resources to educators as a necessary condition for supporting student success, recently examined the effectiveness of its professional development using simple data analysis techniques. In a “choose your own adventure” style, attendees will embark on a data analysis adventure to create a plan of action for use with their own professional development data
