Fall Soup fundraising event for schools
Posted by PhilaSoup on October 30, 2017
PhilaSoup is a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization that provides micro-grants to teachers to fund classroom projects. We do this by hosting quarterly community soup events. Three times a year, we invite members of the community to come together over a simple bowl of soup (and other tasty treats!) and hear pitches from three teachers who have ideas in need of funding. The attendees vote on whose project they like the best and the winner receives the largest portion of the grant (second and third place winners receive money, too!)
Our Fall Soup is Sunday, November 5, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Oxford Mills. Teachers can join us for a great meal and to hear from other teachers about their classroom ideas in need of funding. Tickets are $15 or $25 for two tickets, and the ticket price goes directly to funding the teacher projects presenting that day! Our Fall Soup event is a great way to network and support fellow teachers! PLUS all teachers who attend will receive *free* classroom supplies (think: sticky-notes, markers, paper, pens, magnets, clips, etc!)
