Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
• A demonstrated record of maintaining a positive, nurturing and educationally stimulating child care environment (for children six weeks – five years)
• A demonstrated record of facilitating open and continuous communication with team members and being readily available, receptive and responsive to them
• Demonstrated success in a leadership role in the implementation of quality initiatives (e.g. NAEYC accreditation, Keystone Stars and E2L)
• Demonstrated success in a leadership role in the implementation of Head Start programs
• A minimum of five years of progressively more responsible child care center management experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of all center operations
• Maintain a quality child care program which reflects the philosophy of Federation Early Learning
• Services and adheres to state and federal regulations
• Recruit, hire and orient staff
• Discipline and terminate staff in accordance with agency personnel practices procedures
• Supervise office, program, maintenance and kitchen staff
• Adhere to center budget
• We are participating in the TEACH Program
