ScholarMatcher: Building a Balanced College List in 7 Clicks

Meet the ScholarMatcher: a free tool built for low-income students to build a balanced college list in just a few clicks. Based on rigorous data analysis, ScholarMatcher only features schools with excellent outcomes for low-income students. It scores schools in four areas: financial aid, academic strength, student support services, and post-graduate success. These scores result in a GPA for each postsecondary institution, which students can use to effortlessly discover schools where they are most likely to thrive. ScholarMatcher was developed by NCAN member ScholarMatch, and this demo will explore how programs can incorporate this tool to benefit students and discuss additions to the platform that would be beneficial to counselors.
