Volunteers needed for renovation project at McMichael Elementary School

The Goldenberg Group (TGG), hosts large volunteer events throughout the year, with August being the largest. Last year they built brand new dressers for a homeless shelter and this year they’ve partnered with McMichael Elementary School in West Philadelphia for a renovation project. Please see below description of the two day renovation.

Volunteer Description
Dates/Shift Times: Tuesday, August 22nd, 11am-4pm and 5pm-8:30pm
Wednesday, August 30th, 9am-1pm and 1:30pm-5:30pm
Location: 3543 Fairmount Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104
Description: TGG/PHP are excited to partner with McMichael Elementary School in West Philadelphia! TGG/PHP have committed to improvement projects throughout the facility including renovation/improvements in the teachers’ lounge, auditorium, indoor recess room and home economic room. All materials, tools and supplies will be provided. What we need is YOU. We are looking for 150 volunteers to help!
By sharing your time and energy with them – for just a few hours – you’ll not only be directly serving the students and teachers of this vital public school, but also investing in the future of the larger West Philadelphia community.
