New Foundations Charter School is looking to fill positions within our K-12 setting. Currently, NFCS is seeking out the following positions for the 2017-2018 school year:
K-8 Assistant Teachers: 20 hours per week supporting 1 or more teachers in classroom management, instructions, lunch and recess program, and classroom operations.
Media Specialist/Elementary Technology – A full time position with a partial case load of elementary level general technology classes and additional responsibility supporting media production and literacy within the K-12 school. Qualified candidates will have experience working with elementary students in technology and have an invested interest in media development in youth. A PA teaching certification in elementary and/or technology is preferred.
STEM Specialist/Computer Science – a full time position with a partial case load of high school level courses and additional responsibilities supporting NFCS STEM program including Project Lead the Way, Robotics, and Coding. Qualified candidates will have experience working with secondary students in STEM subject area, and have an invested interest in computer science education. A PA teaching certification in any secondary STEM subject area(s) and/or technology is required.
Special Education Assistant Teachers: 20 hours per week supporting 1 or more special education teachers in various settings by providing support to special education students in regular education setting, providing instructional and behavioral support, and support overall special education to students.
1-1 Support/Personal Care Assistant: 35-40 hours per week supporting 1 or more students in a classroom setting through providing instructional and behavioral support, monitoring and data collection, and overall support of classroom and instructional operations for specific students.
Lunch/Recess Program Staff: 17-20 hours per week supporting operations in the lunchroom and recess programs by providing a safe and healthy atmosphere, ensuring productive activities, and monitoring program activities.
