A Two-Generation Approach: Creating a Path to Economic Security and Well-Being for the Whole Family
Friday, February 3, 2017
8:30-11:00 AM
United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ) recognizes the need for a Two-Generation Approach to address our region’s most critical issues. We invite you to join us as we share best practices and explore how we can use this strategy to continue to change lives and strengthen communities – one child, one adult and one family at a time.
This event is for non-profit decisions makers and community leaders. Executive Directors and Board leadership are especially encouraged to attend. There is a two person limit per organization.
Featuring:
Dr. Christopher King
Dr. King is national thought leader and researcher in the Two-Generation Approach to creating systems and programs that impact on multi-generational poverty. He is the Director of the Ray Marshall Center for the Study of Human Resources in Austin, Texas and serves on the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Two-Generation Strategic Evidence-Building Advisory Group.
Otis Bullock
Dr. Bullock is excutive director of Diversified Services Inc., a community-minded attorney and Philadelphia’s champion of the Two-Generation approach. He will joined by other panelists to discuss the implementation of this approach.
