Supportive Services for Organizational and Leadership Changes
The changes in the nonprofit world that we’ve been talking about- or talking around – for so long are finally here. Dramatic events such as:
- Retirement of baby boomer executive directors
- Departure of Founders
- Dearth of bench strength within organizations, and the sector as a whole, to replace departing leaders
What steps should you be taking?
The impending departure of an executive director, especially a founder, presents a formidable challenge. But it is also a huge opportunity if handled decisively.
Leadership transition offers your organization the chance to assess itself on many levels, rethinking the type of leader and direction best suited for this new era in your history.
The Nonprofit Center has designed a number of succession planning services to address key aspects of a nonprofit transition, including:
- Organizational Assessments
- Interim Executive Directors and CFOs
- Peer Learning Circles for New or Future Leaders to enhance their leadership skills
- Certificate Programs that ensure new leaders have all the relevant skills. Individual classes, such as “Creating and Mastering a Successful Leadership Style”
- Board Advancement
- Executive Coaching
