Seeking Winter Term Intern
Start: 1/2/17 – 4/7/17
This unpaid internship will provide our intern’s hands-on experience on what programming looks like in a hugely successful and growing non-profit organization. You will work closely with the Program Director in not only ideating on new programming but in the implementation as well.
This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in working with youth. In addition to developing skills that can help you develop into the leaders of the future, we encourage our interns to share their experiences and knowledge with our Mighty Writers.
Although unpaid, this is an excellent educational opportunity, and course credit can always be gained if university guidelines allow. The Mighty Intern is a unique position designed for altruistic and energetic individuals committed to the education of our young students, and applicants should be driven by a desire to inspire our youth to become successful writers and independent thinkers.
Mighty Writers is a nonprofit organization committed to teaching children ages 7-17 to think and write with clarity. The Mighty Writer Intern reports to the Program Director and supports the Program Manager with many aspects of different programs. This is a part time position that requires about 10 -15 hours a week and approximately 150 hours in all.
