Learning and Development Manager, Community Behavioral Health

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for creating and implementing effective learning and development strategies, initiatives and programs. This position will also focus on activities that support and enhance a culture of exceptional employee engagement. The Learning and Development Manager will oversee recruitment, on boarding, performance management, training, and development and employee engagement.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, performance management, coaching, team building and succession planning.
- Ensure company training programs are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
- Manage performance evaluation process
- Help identify organizational effectiveness resources, development programs, rewards and interventions
- Provide learning solutions for individuals and teams in order to build and sustain leadership, professional, technical, and system skills
- Monitor and consult on the organization’s culture and climate to support the attainment of the organizational goals and promote employee engagement
- Responsible for employee development program design and implementation
- Facilitate learning via multiple vehicles, such as instructor-led training, self-study, blended learning, just-in-time learning, webinars and e-learning, etc.
- Develop and coordinate employee recognition and rewards programs
- Assist with annual performance management planning and oversee implementation of processes and systems in support of it (e.g., objective-setting, mid-year reviews, year-end reviews, etc.)
- Oversee the recruitment and on boarding of new staff.
- Communicate results of various employee surveys
- Facilitation of internal, company-wide communication, including:
- Responsible for ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of talent, performance and learning management systems
- Maintain knowledge of instructional technologies and latest learning and development research by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and/or participating in professional societies
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management or related degree required; Master’s degree preferred but not required
- Human Resources License/Certification: PHR, SPHR preferred
- Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a HR environment with a minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role
