Sustainable Community Development and STEAM Fields: What We Can Learn from a Changing Cuba
October 31 – November 3, 2016
Academic experts and scholars from the U.S. and Cuba will share best practices and expand knowledge across a variety of STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and Community Development.
The week begins with a public conference, followed by faculty collaboration meetings and site visits to community projects. The collaboration culminates in a strengthened relationship between Rutgers University and the University of Havana, including a spring trip to Cuba.

October 31: Opening of the Conference
November 1: Faculty roundtables with visiting Cuban scholars discussing collaborative research projects.
November 2: Site visits to community projects.
November 3: Concluding meetings and wrap-up.
