PROJECT Y.E.S. YOUTHBUILD

Young Adults Ages 16 – 24

• Do you have an interest in construction?
• Are you interested in Service Learning?
• Interested in earning money for college/vocational or trade school?

If you answered YES to these questions you qualify for Project YES Youth Build!

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SEPTEMBER 2016 CLASS

The program is yearlong and offers eligible individuals aged 16-24 who reside in the area of North Philadelphia (zip codes: 19132, 19133, 19121, 19122, 19130 and 19123) an opportunity to get their GED, along with extensive vocational training and community service. Participants, who must be high school dropouts, will earn industry-recognized credentials, including the NCCER Construction Certificate and Green Construction Module, National OSHA-10 Certification, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid and Automated Personal Defibrillator Certification, EPA RRP Lead Safety Certification, ECA Weatherization Certification, Fork-Lift Operator Certification, PENNDOT Flagger Certification. To qualify, these individuals must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents. They must also be able to pass a background check, and cannot have a felony record. We have 33 slots to fill and the program begins in October.
