Students can gain a sense of efficacy through projects focused on social innovation; they can ground this work in community-identified priorities through civic engagement experiences. Yet too often, social innovation and civic engagement efforts are separate from each other. This issue of Diversity & Democracy explores how colleges and universities are connecting these related areas of work.
