Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber’s Professional Mentoring Network Presents
YOUTH SUMMIT @ EDISON HIGH
September 22, 2016
This annual summit is designed to empower students in predominantly Latino high schools with the opportunity to meet professionals of color in order to learn how to plan for a successful career.
2016 YOUTH SUMMIT SUPPORT OUR YOUTH
The Youth Summit is an annual event hosted by the Professional Mentoring Network of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GPHCC). Each year a Philadelphia high school is chosen for this event. Dozens of professionals from throughout the region coach and teach students the professional skills they will need as they transition out of high school, into college and prepare for their career. The event offers speakers, workshops and a college/career fair focused on career planning and visioning.
The Professional Mentoring Network was created in 2007 with the support of Comcast Corporation. It provides Latino professionals and the opportunity to develop their professional skills while contributing to the advancement of our youth through activities such as the annual Youth Summit.
Volunteers will be needed for:
- Inspirational Auditorium Presentation
- Class Room Career Day Presentations
- College & Career Fair
- Career Planning Workshops
To volunteer, contact rcruzesteves@philahispanicchamber.org no later than September 2nd.
