volunteers needed, Youth Resume Workshops
Posted by City of Philadelphia on April 11, 2016
I’m reaching out to see if anyone wants to volunteer during our second set of Youth Resume Workshops on Wed. April 13th & Thurs. April 21st. The workshops will be from 4:00-5:15 & 5:30-6:45 on both days.
We will need volunteers to help review resumes either individually or in small groups. The first part of the workshop will be presentation style (about 20 minutes), followed by individual resume work. No need to prepare anything, just bring your resume expertise- we will be printing out sample resumes for reference and a sheet outlining Dos and Don’ts. The only thing I ask is, if you feel comfortable, offer your contact information for the youth to follow up with you. In March, many of the youth had questions after leaving the workshop and continuing to tweak their resumes.
