AWARD ELIGIBILITY:
• an AmeriCorps member currently serving in the City of Philadelphia*
• a Senior Corps member currently serving in the City of Philadelphia
• an alumni of AmeriCorps or Senior Corps, or returned Peace Corps Volunteer, who is currently living in Philadelphia
AWARD CATEGORIES:
• Mayor’s Award for Distinguished AmeriCorps Service
• Mayor’s Award for Distinguished Senior Corps Service
• Mayor’s Award for Distinguished Contribution to the City of Philadelphia by a Recent Alumni of AmeriCorps Service (Nominees must have completed their term of AmeriCorps service on or after January 1, 2011)
• Mayor’s Award for Distinguished Contribution to the City of Philadelphia by an Experienced Alumni of AmeriCorps Service (Nominees must have completed their term of AmeriCorps service on or before December 31, 2010)
• Mayor’s Award for Distinguished Contribution to the City of Philadelphia by a Recent Alumni of Peace Corps Service (Nominees must have completed their term of Peace Corps service on or after January 1, 2011)
• Mayor’s Award for Distinguished Contribution to the City of Philadelphia by an Experienced Alumni of Peace Corps Service (Nominees must have completed their term of Peace Corps service on or before December 31, 2010)
• Mayor’s Award for Distinguished Group Service Project (***In this new category, a group or a team of AmeriCorps volunteers, staff and/or program partners can be nominated for a project they completed during their term of service. Nominees must have completed their term of AmeriCorps service on or after January 1, 2011.)
WHO CAN NOMINATE:
Anyone is eligible to submit one or more nominations, including current and former national service members, program staff and board members; as well as members of the general public. Self-nominations will also be accepted.
DEADLINE:
To be considered for the nomination, please complete the form below by 5 p.m. on March 9, 2016.
*NOTE: Current members and alumni of national service programs administered by the City of Philadelphia are eligible to submit and/or receive a nomination and to be named as a finalist for the Mayor’s Award. They are not, however, eligible to be selected as the overall award winner in any category.
