RWJF Seeks Proposals for Health Equity Award Programs
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has announced a Request for Proposals for its Awards for Health Equity program.
The annual program advances RWJF’s vision of working with others to build a Culture of Health by recognizing and celebrating individuals who have successfully implemented systems changes related to the multiple determinants of health. Recognition of these efforts increases the visibility and awareness of the urgent need and solutions for systems changes to achieve health equity in American society.
Four grants of up to $52,000 will be awarded to nonprofit membership organizations and/or associations to establish an annual awards program that honors individuals who implement systems changes aimed at solving health disparities. Each grant is intended to support an annual awards program for a period of six years.
To be eligible, applicants must be a national nonprofit membership organization or association; be based in the United States or one of its territories; and represent the business, media, faith-based, or philanthropy sector. In addition, applicant organizations must hold an annual meeting; work in an area that advances systems-change approaches to improving access to care, education, employment, income, community environment, housing, or public safety; and have demonstrated successful efforts in improving outcomes for groups most affected by health disparities.
The foundation will be hosting a webinar for applicants on February 24, at 2:00 p.m. (EST). Registration is required.
See the RWJF website for eligibility and selection criteria, key dates, and the online application form.
DEADLINE: MARCH 30, 2016
