Employment Opportunities

Educators 4 Education (E4E) runs out-of-school time programs for youth, kindergarten through 8th grade, and is looking to hire passionate and experienced individuals for our OST and/or Saturday club programs. All candidates should have a minimum (2) years of experience working with youth in urban education settings.

Program Liaison: The Program Liaison works Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This person must be well organized, outgoing and possess the ability to manage an urban based after-school program for youth K through 8th grades. Duties consist of supporting the day-to-day operation of the after-school program including: scheduling, educational enrichment, activity planning, safety and discipline. Candidate must serve as a visionary, mentor and programmatic leader for staff, teens and children. The liaison is responsible for building connections and maintaining communication with the children’s families and local schools and works closely with the after-school team to continuously improve department efforts. Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.

Support Staff: Support Staff work Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 6 pm, to provide daily instruction of up to approximately 15 children requiring assistance in homework help, reading and math. Support Staff are also responsible for the coordination of paperwork, including pre-and post-student assessments. Staff must be able to create and implement classroom instruction according to student’s level of ability. Support Staff must also be able to effectively deal with challenging behaviors and utilize available supports including the program director and coordinator to address issues that may arise that prevent students from obtaining maximum benefit from the program. Support Staff must attend scheduled team meetings in order to discuss issues, report on student progress and focus on student retention rate. Staff must maintain a satisfactory level on quarterly performance evaluations. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Computer Education Instructor: The Computer Education Instructor provides technology instruction to small groups of up to approximately 15 students per class. The Instructor is responsible for identifying or developing a user friendly, technology based curriculum to familiarize students to Microsoft Office and web design. Instructor reports hardware and software problems, follows up on reported problems as necessary, trains and encourages students to become effective users of technology, effectively communicates and maintains cooperative relationships with all students during each session. In addition, the instructor provides recommendations in the purchasing of software for classroom computers and assists in presenting training to parents, students and staff during hours of employment.

Cooking Class Instructor: We are seeking a dynamic and engaging cooking instructor. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated instructor with either a background in culinary arts or early childhood education and has a passion for children and cooking. The Bon Appétit cooking instructor must be able to work independently, at assigned school/community sites, with all of their company supplied teaching materials. E4E provides its instructors with ongoing comprehensive training on its core values and curriculum implementation to ensure consistency and uniformity. Candidates should have a positive attitude and the ability to work and adapt to a highly dynamic, ever changing environment. The Bon Appétit cooking instructor reports to the Site Manager. This is a part time position primarily serving After School Programs and occasional weekend clubs. Fulltime Summer Camp opportunities will also be available.

Dance instructor: The Dance Education Instructor is responsible for leading dance classes for small groups of students, K through 8th grades. Their duties are closely related to teaching various dance techniques such as hip-hop, ballet, tap and ball room.

Art Teacher: The Art Teacher is responsible for developing interest and ability for creative expression in each student through the use of visual terms, skills and techniques of artistic expression. Candidate will also develop aesthetic understandings and appreciations within pupils, and discover and develop talents of students in the field of art. Teacher works two days a week, Monday- Friday, 4 pm to 6 pm, to provide art instruction of up to approximately 15 children each class.
