Did you know that 10,000 people turn 65 each day in the United States? This panel will provide an introduction to the aging population, along with a specific overview of HIV and older adults to highlight National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day (NHAAD). Participants will also learn about how to become an ambassador for creating a more age-friendly community. Lunch provided.

Living with HIV Panel Discussion
Cafeteria College Building (1025 Walnut St.), Foerderer Auditorium
This panel discussion will cover HIV/AIDS and Aging from the prospective of an older person who is positive, a medical case manager who provides assistance to older adults living with HIV/AIDS., and a granddaughter of a positive grandparent. During this panel discussion attendees will learn how older adults who are infected with HIV/AIDS cope with stigma, navigate healthcare systems, adhere to care, utilize medical case management, manage chronic illnesses and acquire basic everyday needs to remain healthy.
