Arcadia’s College of Health Sciences (CHS) houses the University’s Community and Global Public Health/Health Education Programs, Genetic Counseling, Medical Science (Physician Assistant Studies), and Physical Therapy programs. Through evidence-based practice and project-based learning, these programs prepare health professionals for success in a rapidly changing global environment, with applied public health internships, pro bono clinical thesis work, clinical rotations, international fieldwork, and multicultural assessment. Graduates of Arcadia’s CHS programs are at the forefront of their respective fields and employed with leading health organizations.
The MPH Program in the College of Health Sciences at Arcadia University invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in Community & Global Public Health at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level with primary responsibilities as the MPH Internship Coordinator. Programs offered within the department include an MPH in Community Health, MPH dual degrees with the Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, International Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Counseling programs, an MS in Health Education, and an undergraduate minor in Global Public Health. We are seeking a candidate who has experience teaching and as a public health practice professional.
Teaching opportunities are available on the undergraduate and graduate level. Opportunities are available to expand initiatives that are at the core of Arcadia’s
international focus and global health mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating MPH and Health Education internships, which includes advising students regarding placements, identifying and securing public health practice placements within the community, serving as the program liaison for site preceptors, negotiating affiliation agreements, completing site visits, and securing all necessary documentation and reports related to the internship experience. Teaching within the graduate MPH Program and the undergraduate Global Public Health minor will also be required. The following qualifications are required: an MPH, DrPH or PhD degree with public health practice experience and teaching on the undergraduate or graduate level preferred.
