Request for Information: Financial Empowerment
Posted by City of Philadelphia on May 18, 2015
The Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment & Opportunity invites you to submit your best financial empowerment ideas.
In 2013, we launched the Financial Empowerment Centers with our partner, Clarifi. Since that time, we have helped more than 7,000 Philadelphians reduce their debt, improve their credit scores, build assets, and get access to safe and affordable financial products.
Now we need your help. We are looking for creative ideas that complement the work of the FECs and help people achieve their financial goals, including:
- A financial product that enables clients to build credit
- A technological tool that promotes healthy financial habits
- A program that helps people to save more money
- Tools or programs that raise public awareness about financial issues
- A pilot that tests various behavioral economics interventions
The Request for Information guidelines can be found here:

Proposals are due on May 27th. Opportunity open to non-profit and for-profit. Please feel free to distribute this email to your networks.
There will be an informational call on May 19th at 11am where we will answer questions. Answers to questions will also be posted on the http://phillyfec.org website after May 19th.
