TeenSHARP recruiting youth for college prep program

TeenSHARP is looking for motivated, intellectually curious and passionate students in grades 6th through 11th (preference to students in grades 6th through 9th) for its 9-months-long programs held on Rutgers-Camden campus.
The College Discovery program is designed for motivated and intellectually curious middle school students and provides them with rigorous preparation in math and English while building their academic confidence, study skills, and offering them early exposure to colleges and careers. As part of the program student receive ongoing academic and college prep advising. The program meets every Saturday from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm starting in September. The College Access Ambassador Training is designed for high-achieving high school students who are striving for academic excellence and have a passion for their community. During their four-year training as College Access Ambassadors students read rigorous scholarly texts and articles to develop strong personal habits, deep understanding of the college admissions and application process as well as issues of social injustice in education, and build superior leadership and project management skills. Every year College Access Ambassador Trainees reach thousands of students in their schools and residential communities bringing to them high quality college-related information and resources.
