Guide to Livable Cities

It’s no secret that cities around the world are making themselves more livable as they compete to attract and retain talent. What’s not as widely known is how it’s done. Today we’re publishing a Guide to Livable Cities that captures some of the best practices for walkability, bikeability, public spaces and more.
It features video interviews with Gil Penalosa, founder and chair of 8-80 Cities, who led civic innovators from Knight cities on study tours of Chicago and Copenhagen last year, and other resources. In an accessible, interactive format, the guide is meant not only to inform civic innovators who want to make their cities more livable, but help them to garner the broader community support to move forward.
