Lutheran Settlement House is seeking an Executive Director

Lutheran Settlement House Founded in 1902, Lutheran Settlement House (LSH) is a non-profit, nonsectarian, community-based organization, committed to providing comprehensive services to vulnerable children, adults, and families living in inner city Philadelphia.  LSH integrates social, educational and advocacy services through the provision of the following programs: Bilingual Domestic Violence Program (BDVP), Community Education & Employment Department (CEED), Homeless Services, and LSH Senior Center and Services. http://www.lutheransettlement.org

Position Summary:
The Executive Director will serve as Lutheran Settlement House’s chief executive, providing strategic direction and visionary leadership. S/he will have overall responsibility for the strategic, financial and management operations of the organization. The Executive Director will lead LSH’s collaborative team of staff, volunteers and interns and will be expected to build upon the organization’s successes of the past by capitalizing upon the opportunities for continued growth that lie ahead. The Executive Director will play a leadership role in enhancing assets and developing and nurturing partnerships. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree with proven administrative skills and a minimum of 5 years experience managing multiple programs; fundraising efforts and diverse staff.  Proven financial acumen.  Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.  High energy level, strong sense of initiative, creative problem-solving, enthusiasm, and flexibility.
