Community Learning Center, an outcome-oriented nonprofit adult literacy organization with locations in North and West Philadelphia, seeks a part-time GED/Adult Basic Education teacher.

Responsibilities

– Teach pre-GED or GED level reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and/or science
– Maintain accurate and timely attendance, assessment, goal, and other data
– Follow the relevant curriculum
– Attend professional meetings

Qualifications

– Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
– Experience teaching adults preferred
– Strong base of general knowledge
– Excellent organizational, writing, and computer skills
– Initiative
– Flexibility
– Resourcefulness
– Positive attitude
– Ability to work well with diverse population
