Talent Greater Philly 2014 Regional Challenge
Posted by Talent Greater Philly on November 10, 2014
In Greater Philadelphia, a one percent increase in the rate of college completion would raise per capita income by $4.4 billion in one year. What is your school or business doing to help reach that goal?*
To showcase those institutions and businesses that go beyond what is expected to advance educational attainment levels in Greater Philadelphia, Talent Greater Philly is now accepting nominations for its 2014 Regional Challenge. The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2014.
The 2013 Regional Challenge business honoree, Independence Blue Cross, was recognized after the company formed a partnership with Graduate! Philadelphia, a local nonprofit that offers on-site college advising to associates who want to obtain a two- or four-year degree.
The University of Delaware was also recognized with a 2013 Regional Challenge education honor for its Associate in Arts Program (AAP). The program provides students with many of the perks of attending a state-supported tier 1 research university, while benefiting from small class sizes, close faculty contact and additional assistance with math and writing provided at Delaware Technical Community College’s campuses in Wilmington, Dover, and Georgetown.
