Volunteers needed at Dream Academy
The mission of the US Dream Academy is to empower children who are at risk of incarceration to maximize their potential by providing them with academic, social and values enrichment through supportive mentoring and the use of technology.
During the school year, the group offers an after-school program each weekday from 3pm-6pm for children in grades 3 through 8.
The group is currently recruiting volunteers. Volunteers must be 18 years of age and able to pass a criminal background check. All volunteering takes place at the GW Childs School. 1599 S. 17th Street in South Philadelphia.
