Service-Learning in the Health Sciences Symposium-Register Now!
Through funding from the PACC/NYCC Consortium Learn & Serve grant, a one-day symposium on service-learning in the Health Sciences will take place in Erie, PA on April 25, 2009. The symposium is an interdisciplinary service-learning symposium and is for faculty in the health sciences and will feature workshops in service-learning and course revision. Speaker highlights include Chuck Connor from the board of directors of Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) and the West Virginia Rural Health Education Partnership as the keynote, and Char Gray, Executive Director of Pennsylvania Campus Compact. Participants will receive a $25 stipend, and a copy of CCPH’s Faculty Toolkit for Service-Learning in Higher Education. Registration is limited to 40 participants on a first come-first served basis with an April 8th final deadline. The symposium will be offered to faculty in PA, NY, OH and WV.
