CREATING HEALTHY COMMUNITIES: HOW COMMUNITY DEVELOPERS AND HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS CAN PARTNER
Research shows that where you live not only affects your physical health but also cognitive abilities; Bad outcomes can short-change communities from achieving lasting revitalization and stabilization. This two-part training will provide useful information and innovative solutions. Part One features a round-table of community developers, health professionals and researchers who will explore the significant intersection of wellness and community building and demonstrate strong partnerships to achieve mutual goals. Part Two highlights innovative, on-the-ground best practices that neighborhoods can implement quickly – with limited resources – to address critical health and wellness issues facing communities.
