Job Qualifications:
The Lead Instructor/Professional Development Specialist’s primary responsibility is the development, implementation, and administration of strategies and policies geared at improving, accommodating, facilitating, and enhancing the learning/academic, personal/interpersonal, career, and social concerns of adult literacy students. Assists with designing and implementing career development programs. Overall, the incumbent assists the academic and career development for all students, in collaboration with the Program Coordinator. Supervises Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of two years of directly related systems. Prior experience must include work with PDE eData systems. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Knowledge of public workforce development field, e.g. requirements of PDE Division of Adult Education and Literacy.
*Knowledge and broad understanding of educational process and academic design for adult learners.
*Proficiency in applying the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and other standardized assessments within adult education.
*Demonstrated understanding of electronic data management systems.
*Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with database software programs.
*Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to deal with a diverse student population.

Preferred:
*Prior supervisory experience.
*Related Master’s degree.
