6th Annual Beer Summit discusses race relations

Following the July 2009 arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates on the front porch of his own home by Cambridge Police Sergeant James Crowley, President Obama invited the two men to the White House for a meeting over beer to discuss the incident.

At the same time in Philadelphia, Global Citizen organized its own Beer Summit in Center City for concerned citizens to meet, mingle, and discuss race relations in our city and throughout America.

On Wednesday, July 30th, 6-8pm at Reading Terminal Market at 12th and Filbert Streets, Global Citizen will continue the discussion about race, class and power and how we all can overcome the barriers that have continued to divide so many.
There is limited seating. RSVP here.
